World’s first water-based pigment felt-tip pen

“Pigma” is the world’s first water-based pigment felt-tip pen developed by Sakura Color Products Corporation.
Until then, water-based inks used dyes and were not water-resistant or light-resistant.
In 1982, Sakura Color Products developed pigma pigment ink, which made it possible to achieve water resistance and light resistance while being water-based.
