Sailor hocoro Dip Pen Double
Price for 2 Nib + 1 Barrel
Made in Japan
Direct import from our Japanese supplier.
A dip pen with a fountain pen nib that makes it easier to use bottled ink for fountain pens.
There is no need to wash or replace the ink each time, and you can easily change the color by simply rinsing the pen tip with water, so you can easily enjoy using many different colors of ink.
You can enjoy things that you can’t do with a fountain pen, such as trying to use the ink that was dormant again and not only writing letters but also using it like a paintbrush to mix colors and draw.
The resin body reduces the risk of cracking or damage if dropped. There are two types of character width: fine and 1.0mm width (calligraphy type).
Both have fountain pen nibs, so they are easy to use and have a sense of security. The tip of the fine point has a pen point, making it highly abrasion-resistant and durable.
Since you can easily use a variety of inks, the body has a vase-like silhouette, with the image of colorful flowers blooming from the nib. The shaft color is white.

“Fountain pen nib dip pen hocoro” Q&A
Q1 Is it a fountain pen? Is it a dip pen?
A1 Dip pen.
Unlike a fountain pen, it does not have the ability to store ink and cannot continue writing, so please use it by frequently dipping it in ink.
Q2 The ink runs out quickly and I can’t write anymore.
A2 To add a standard amount of ink, dip the tip of the pen into the ink up to the heart hole, then tap the rim of the ink bottle to remove excess ink.
The 1.0mm wide (calligraphy type) pen tip has thick writing lines and consumes a lot of ink, so please use it by frequently dipping it in ink.
Q3 The ink drips off when I start writing.
A3 Please note that the ink that has accumulated on the back of the pen tip may fall off immediately after soaking it with ink.
Adjust the amount by removing excess ink with the edge of the ink bottle when dipping the pen tip into ink.
Q4 I can’t insert the pen tip into the pen barrel properly.
When inserting the A4 pen tip into the pen barrel, align the flat parts of the large tip and the pen barrel.
Also, insert it until you feel it click into place.
Q5 I want to use commercially available glitter ink.
A5 You can use it, but please note that any defects or breakdowns caused by the use of ink other than genuine Sailor ink will not be covered by the warranty.
When using the pen, depending on the size of the glitter and the frequency of use, the slit part of the pen tip may become clogged, causing writing problems. Please use it while cleaning the pen tip frequently.
Q6 Is there any color transfer when ink gets on the shaft?
A6 Regardless of dye ink or pigment ink, color transfer may occur if it adheres to the shaft.
If you leave it on, it may cause color transfer, so please wipe it off as soon as possible or wash it off with water.
(When rinsing with water, please be careful as if water gets inside the shaft, it will be difficult to remove. Wipe it off with tissue paper and dry it thoroughly before use.)
Q7 There is no lid or clip, but is it unsuitable for carrying?
A7 Even without a lid, you can store the pen tip inside the pen barrel with the pen tip facing the other way, so you can carry it with confidence. In addition, one side of the pen shaft is cut flat, so it has a shape that prevents it from rolling instead of a clip.
